Who is eligible for the Primary Sports Fund?

Any state primary school in England can apply for a free block of sessions. Spaces are limited, so early applications are encouraged.

What year groups can take part?
The sessions are suitable for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (Years 1–6), and tailored to the developmental needs of each group.

What sports or activities are included?
Sessions can include anything from Athletics to Zumba — A to Z and everything in between. We adapt our delivery to suit your school's space, equipment, and PE topics.

When can the sessions take place?
The free sessions are flexible and can be used during the school day (e.g. as part of PE lessons) or during extra-curricular hours, such as before/after school or lunchtime clubs.

How many free sessions are provided?
Each school receives FIVE fully-funded 60-minute sessions, delivered by Foundation Sports coaches.

Do we need to provide equipment?
No. We bring all equipment with us. All we need is a space to deliver the sessions — a hall, playground, or field.

Are your coaches qualified and DBS-checked?
Absolutely. All Foundation Sports coaches are qualified, experienced, and enhanced DBS-checked, with safeguarding and first aid training.

How do we book?
Just complete our short application form, and a member of our team will be in touch within 48 hours to confirm your trial sessions.
